DOWNERS GROVE, IL (April 23, 2018) – REX Electric & Technologies (REX) has appointed James P. McInerney Jr. as its new president. McInerney was most recently Senior Vice President at Leopardo Companies, with more than 22 years of construction management and seven years of executive management experience. He will be responsible for driving REX’s strategic growth within the Chicago electrical and technology services market.

McInerney brings with him extensive insight on large-scale construction operations based on his past senior leadership positions, which includes more than two decades with Leopardo Companies. In addition to his track record of innovation and business success, McInerney also has vast tactical expertise in strategy development, sales and marketing, LEAN delivery, operational efficiencies, safety and organizational culture.

McInerney is an active Board member and volunteer for several related organizations including the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates and Construction Safety Association.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety from Illinois State University.
